Why choose just one Tolkien Society when there are many to explore? We are proud to present the German Tolkien Society. For us, borders were never a constraint. Since our foundation in 1997/98, we've been determined to connect with other Tolkien Societies and enthusiasts who share our passion. With over 1500 dedicated members, we bring together diverse personalities and lifestyles, united in our love for Tolkien and his works — whether it's through one of our six engaging podcasts or in-person at one of our 25 lively smials.
Each year at Tolkien Thing, our annual gathering, we not only invite a distinguished Guest of Honour from the international Tolkien community, but also a Guest Society to share their unique experiences. Our Tolkien Seminar, an annual international conference, welcomes scholars from all around the world. And Tolkien Days has grown into the largest Tolkien-themed event on the global stage.
